Cabot Plaza II
Bellevue, Washington

The 3-story, 69,000sq.ft.speculative office building was fully leased to a single tenant before completion.  The building's footprint is an "L" with an angled center section.  The bent plan shape reduces the visual length of the interior corridors and departs from a strict rectangular look. The minor setbacks of the facade and exterior decks satisfy the city's "modulation" requirements.    All of the exterior is clad in a window wall composed dark gray insulated glass, black spandrel (opaque) glass with aluminum and stainless clad mullions.  A three foot high, lush berm all around the building softens the transition of building to grade.  Gray granite and granite composite are used liberally in the lobby with wood paneled walls.
